Normally it's lanolin in conditioners that makes them unsuitable for vegans. Lanolin is the
natural oil taken from sheered sheep's wool. Veganese will not use anything that contains or
is made out of any animal or by-product thereof. And since it is really not easy to make an
effective conditioner without lanolin, most companies don't bother trying. However, after
many years and much help from our volunteer vegan testers we were able to produce the Veganese
Conditioner. We used an infusion of agar seaweed to provide the conditioning power needed with
lemon oil, fresh organic lemon juice and rosemary infusion for shine and lavender to balance
oil production. Vegans have a hard enough time sticking by their principles; we can see no
reason why you should have to suffer from out of condition hair too. |
